There lies within us all
The ability to relive
And change that which we
Wish to forget.
Though we should never forget
What makes us as we are now.
But just in case we so choose
There exists the ability
To reboot the system, so to speak.
And when we flip that switch,
The slate wipes clean,
Leaving only distant memories
Of the world past.
But with the rise of what's new,
Be weary, for even in infinite wisdom
The temptation and yearning
Towards the new journey
Can be misleading.
Life remains the same,
And although we may change
Don't flip that switch too many times,
And forget what makes you,
Who you are to another.
